Wild caught Kurau / Threadfin 

Mandarin Name: 午鱼 (wǔyu)
Local Malay Name: Ikan Kurau
Local Hokkien: Ngor He

Details 

Each Slice/ steak is between 200g -400g depending on the size.  

Threadfins are great for steaming and they are often found at either Teochew porridge or Bak Kut Teh stalls selling Teochew style steamed fish. The heads are usually chopped up and fried with bitter gourd.

Note If small slices we will include 2 slices to make it 400g in total.  All fish is cut by hand not machines, therefore the size of each slice will slightly different. 
The meat is very fine and it is good to make fish porridge for babies.
